Leah Tolliver

Leah Tolliver is the Director of Wellness and Gender Programs at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. In this role, she oversees programs and services provided by the Women’s and Gender Center, the Wellness Center, and the Violence Prevention and Response Program. She currently serves as chair of the President’s Commission on the Status of Women at Marshall, as well as the boards of several local and state social service and community agencies. A Marshall alum herself, Leah began her career as a counselor and coordinator for Huntington’s CONTACT Rape Crisis Center in 1989. In 1993, she moved to Connecticut, where she worked as the coordinator for the YWCA Sexual Assault Crisis Services in Middletown. Since returning to Marshall as director of the Women’s Center in 1996, Leah’s work has continued to focus on bringing awareness to issues of violence against women while fostering the personal, political, and social growth of students at Marshall University.

Leah is also aunt to Izzy McKinney who this foundation honors. Leah and her husband, David Rogers, who both have extensive nonprofit experience, were instrumental in the organizing and founding of DRESS Syndrome Foundation.
